EXIT TICKETS

EXIT TICKETS One of the techniques that works like charm with my students is the use of exit tickets. I use this technique to show you what students are thinking and what they have learned at the end of a lesson.
PROCEDURE: The last 5 minutes of the class, students have to hand you a “ticket” filled out with an answer to a question, a solution to a problem, or a response to what they’ve learned. This way, exit tickets helps the teacher to assess if students have “caught what you taught” and plan for the next lesson or unit of instruction. There are many ways to make exit tickets and they are pretty adaptative to different levels and necessities. For example: 1. Name one important thing you learned in class today. 2. Draw a concept map about something we have learned today.
