2. ACTIVITY

2.1 A student ,when the bell rings, writes on the blackboard "The U.N. International Day " (https://www.un.org) (International Days and Weeks. The United Nations). They do it in turns following the class list. They have to look it up at home.

2. 2 They will do pair work (each day of the week they have an assigned pair). They have to answer to two questions written on the wall. They have to write it down2.3 I ask at random 2 pairs and I mark it.

2.4 I display in the screen the U.N. webpage and select a passage, the most interesting and adapted to their English level and read it aloud, they have to subvocalise. I will cover some words and they have to elicit the missing word in pairs.

2.5 I let them read the passage again and look for the answers to the 2 questions, they write it down. I wait to ask them until several pairs have finished. Those who have finished look for cognates and copy them in their list of cognates.

2.6 We check new vocabulary. And write down in the vocabulary list one word, in case there is an essential word they don´t know.

3. TIMING Never more than 10 minutes
