I usually use texts with missing words but in this activity which, is quite enriching for their acquisition of the language and for mantaining all of them attentive in the classes, it is not just to complete the missing words, it is about guessing and trying different options.
I prepare the same text in 6 or 7 different ways (the text is the same but the missing words are different) so they have to reach the complete text between all of them.
The way of making it is not reading but asking their mates what type of word is the missing one, or asking questions about the topic of the text in the way they can guess and try to know what is the missing word.
It works in a very positive way specially when they have the idea about how to make it, maybe not the first time but yes in the next occasions.
This strategy is useful for mantaining all the students activily working in the class, learning other strategies like respecting the turn, working in group, etc...
